The time does fly. Motherhood is not for the faint of heart, it’s raw, real, emotional and joy all rolled into one. You lose pieces of yourself. I wouldn’t trade motherhood for anything the journey to become a mom was an uphill battle. But I did lose myself. I wanted to be a mother, wife, daughter, friend, teacher and writer. They say you can have it all, but I found that nearly impossible. I let friendships go, I've grown, dealt with trauma I didn't even know I had and moved on. Being a mom to my twin boys has been the most amazing thing in my life but as they are getting older, I'm going to start focusing more on me. I'm starting to figure out who I am all over again.
